Artist's Profile

Stephen Ring started his artistic career painting detailed pictures of birds, sold from the iron railings, which adorn Hyde park. From there he established two successful art shops before moving to the beautiful county of Devon where his natural artistic talent was ignited.
With his artistic background and passion for being outdoors he has combined determination and hard work to create a unique style. With a boundless energy Stephen is totally inspired by his surroundings and constantly strives for perfection.
Stephen produces all artworks in his own print studio and works to the highest quality and standards and is a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild. All works of art are treated as fine art prints and not photographic reproductions. These include framed prints; canvases and one off original works of art.
Thus his work has enhanced the living and working environments of many establishments and his craft has been used in Corporate sales ranging from BAA to P&O, as well as businesses of all sizes, galleries, interior designers and individual sales.

Artist's Statement

The breathtaking North Devon and Cornish coastline has given Stephen an all-inspiring,
tireless enthusiasm and desire to combine visual harmony with attraction to re-create the striking, dramatic landscape and the continuously changing coastline.
Such passions have been fulfilled and Stephen’s fascination and affection for the superb coastline has been transferred onto paper and canvas.
Each picture and painting evokes the emotion of that precise moment in time and thus Stephen's understanding of light and weather patterns only serves to create a composition, which radiates peace, tranquillity and solitude. Emotions and atmosphere have been successfully recreated which are not only inspiring but provoke a sense of energy and attraction. Thus, a moment in time is captured through the simplicity of colour and light.
For Stephen his love is his art, his art is his passion and his passion is evocative in every painting and photograph. Each moment is a journey forward and the journey forward is the beginning of the doorway to emotion and creativity.
