Living in North Devon and being lucky enough to work as an artist every day I take my inspiration from painters from the past who have a darker and symbolic take on life. Around me I use trees, woods, ruined buildings being overtaken by nature and forests where there may be a slight air of menace in the air, a feeling that the past is still caught there and other people have worked the landscape. I love detail, dark tones and shadows.
Recent work has also included lino cuts and life drawing days.
I am an exhibiting member of The Westward Ho! and Bideford Art Society and a member of Bideford Bay Creatives. In September I am lead artist for the “Artists’ Garden Exhibition” at RHS Garden Rosemoor showing 8 new works as well as prints and cards of my images. I am exhibitions organiser for NDA which I love as it gives me the chance to try and get more of our members work on show and sold!
To view more of my work go to my website where you can also order Giclee prints.
